Ok I'm going to cheat a bit without doing research. Does anyone have any info on these firearms. I honestly never heard of them, until some lady I'm playing "Words with Friends" on my iPhone mentioned she had one. Does anyone here own this firearm? I watched only one YouTube video and the guy was boasting about it's accuracy. Anyway any info would be great, and I'll do some google'ing tommorow. As always thanks in advance. |

STI makes some of the best 1911's in the world. they are almost unparalleled for quality in the firearms industry. If you buy one you are almost guarenteed to be the envy of your 1911 buddies lol.

Some of you guys here are crazy lol. But funny. I hope she doesn't think I'm traveling all the way to Arizona for some booty. To everyone else thanks for the info. How would you guys say they compare to Wilsons combat pistols? Those things are really up there in price. Is there quality really that far above the rest? I've just recently got back into my shooting hobby after a few years of being preoccupied with work. So I am out of the loop so to speak. Thanks again folks. |

The average STI is awesome, however the trojans are essentially a rock island that STI works over. The frames and slides are made in the philipines along side the rock islands, citadels, etc. The trojans I've played with had nice triggers and sights however they are'nt a true "STI" since the frames/slides are made in the philipines not in the usa like a true STI. I have a spartan. For a "low end" pistol, the thing is fantastic. For a "mid range" pistol, the thing is fantastic. The only "issue" ( I use that word loosely) is the plastic mainspring housing that JUST barely sticks out, and the plastic trigger. The trigger feel and pull are AWESOME, but I know it's a plastic trigger, so it bothers me. I'm really wanting a higher-up STI. |

The thought of a $2500 pistol is scary. Bad enough for an AR but at least you have something that is big enough to look like it cost that much ![]() Quote:
