I ordered myself a reloading set. After spending a lot of time researching the Lee Classic Turret, I went ahead and bought one. The one major complaint I heard from all reviews, was the Lee Auto Primer thingy that you can get for it, but other than that was a great press, and I figured "WTH" and went for it. I wanted to get the Kit that was on Cabela's, but they are out of stock, and not sure on shipment, so I ended up ordering just the standalone from MidWay. Picked up the Turret Press, Slide Scale, Powder Dispenser, Trickler, a Lyman Case Cutter (Along with a Debur/Chamfer attachment), and all the other little stuff to get started. I've purchased a couple Reloading books, and have been reading through them like Mad. I actually 1 to get 1 more that I heard is a great book to read (ABC's of Reloading) but am having a hard time tracking it down anywhere. I did however pick up the Hornady Handbook of Cartridge Reloading, and Lyman Reloading Handbook. Going to start reloading my .223 stuff to get started, since I have brass o'plenty for it, but plan on reloading for my .222, .44mag, and .50AE as time goes on. And depending on the future of things (purchases), possibly 6.5 grendal, and .50 beowulf, 9mm, and .45. |

Congratulations! Reloading can be relaxing and if you get into it, will wonder where the time went.

Where did you end up getting the turret and stuff from for the reloader? I have a Lee Progressive Professional and having a hard time finding the stuff for it. It's an older one..

Then after I had made all the decisions, and ordered it, come to find out, one of my co-workers actually has one and loves it. Although, interestingly enough, he had the same exact complaint that every review had about it, and it was with the primer loader thina-ma-jig. Said it really takes getting used to, so he just ended up buying a hand priming tool. It is supposed to be here tomorrow. But I have some other crap on order that I am waiting for as well (Primers, Bullets, and Powder). | |

the primer system works, you just have to make sure its aligned when you bolt on the tab that holds it. I use it, hand priming is a PITA... Ive used single stages and I see no need for myself to get one.
