'Cause it is SOO frikkin cool! Oh man...what a kickass personal protection sidearm! Cool gun man. Most of my pistols are revolvers...I think I've only got 4 Autos.. Couple Blackhawks, several S&W's, few Colt SA's, a derringer or two...etc.

Apparently it's performance with 410 rounds is kinda lackluster (no surprise), but it works great on snakes. And 45colt is a potent round too, so it would be effective as a defense round against larger animals if needed.

Just one... S&W 642 Airweight .38 snubby. Likely to be traded in on the upcoming Ruger LCR also in .38 spcl. I'd still like to get another big wheel gun some day... I traded my S&W 686 .357 Mag for my 642 and miss it sometimes. Prolly another 686, but a 7-shot 6" barrel instead, or maybe one of the M&P series. |

I've got a S&W 38spcl snub nose edition, and a 44cal revolver. Both down in California at my parents place. Like to have them there when I'm at home visiting and want to go to the range.

I have a Ruger Redhawk and Super Redhawk, both in .44 magnum. I've decided to let the Redhawk go to my landlord if he wants it in a couple of months, but I'm keeping the Super. It fits my hand better and not having the back-strap right on my hand definitely helps with the recoil.

Two wheelguns, a Ruger GP100 4" and Ruger SP101 2", both in .357. Bought the SP for my wife since the GP100 is a little heavy for her. It's also small enough to carry in her purse in case she needs to. One advantage to revolvers, particularly for ladies, is that if you fire it through a purse or jacket (You aren't going to waste time drawing it if you really need it, right?) it just keeps firing. An auto will stovepipe and jam. My wife is a dead shot, so that isn't a problem. If someone does get past the locked doors, the two Rottie cross dogs, and makes it down the hallway, I'm pretty sure 5 rounds of .357 will convince them to leave. Besides, John Wayne carried Revolvers, lever action rifles, and side by side shotguns and, By God, that's the way it should be! ![]() Dave T. |

I've got my self a .357 Dan Wesson pistol pack with the 2.5", 4", 6", and 8" barrels and the wife has a 2.25" Ruger SP101. I'll be picking up an old Vaquero in .45 colt in a few months also.

Ruger Blackhawk Bisley .45 Colt barrel cut to 5 1/2" trigger job and over sized cylinder pin. If I do my part it'll print a 8" group at 100 yards. Last edited by oremike; 10-12-2009 at 02:55 PM. |

Ruger Vaquaro in 32H&R mag used to be called the single six mag(SSM) same frame as the .22 Vaquaro. I bought this as a weak side cross draw for Cowboy action shooting, but now it's my wife's CC piece. |

I have a Taurus Tracker in .357 and a North American Arms .22 mag pocket revolver. They are fun to shoot, but I do like my semi-autos more.
