loaded

I've heard some say that if you leave an ar mag fully loaded that it can soften the spring over time.. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I have a stack of mags, both metal and magpul 30 rounders that I've left loaded for a while. should I remove the rounds until I'm ready to use 'em?

So what's the law concerning traveling to another state with a loaded handgun in my car? I'm going to Ft. Benning, GA and I will have my firearm here and there legally with my CWP, but what about those states in between? I read somewhere a while back about a bill that will allow this to happen...
