Hey all...I'm still trying to find someplace other than a range to do some shooting. I do go to the English Pit, but bench shooting at paper targets starts to get boring after awhile. I've looked at the WGO Range Map that was posted, and didn't see anything that I didn't already know about...well, besides the free range out in Stevenson by the Bridge of the Gods. I'm hoping to find something in the Battleground/Ridgefield/La Center area. I know there are plenty of shooters out there that have their "secret spots" and I'm hoping someone will chime in and share. I also know that shooters that do have that "secret" shooting area don't like to advertise where it is...If you are willing to share, please send me a PM. I'd really appreciate it. Just for FYI sake...When it comes to shooting, I am courteous and believe in packing out more trash/junk than what I brought in...in other words, I police my brass, trash, and junk. Also, I'm all for helping out on any kind of organized clean up for said shooting areas....THANKS!!! |

Welp... I grew up in amboy, and used to go out a bunch (weekly) down there. I was talking to my dad yesterday and he said a bunch of stuff is gated off. Google the yacolt burn. Lots of roads, and spots to shoot a bit. We hunted deer there constantly.. just don't go target practice out there during hunting season(s). |
