Class begins with a review of firearm safety and Level 1 concepts. The majority of training time will be live fire instruction to include gun presentation from the holster, reloads, engaging multiple targets, and shooting while moving. Class concludes with students shooting stages that incorporate taught skills. Class is an 8 hour training day, which begins with classroom followed by live fire training. There will be a one hour lunch break between the two blocks of instruction. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Firearm Instruction Level 1. Waiver of Liability to be signed during registration at start of the session. o Valid ID required (i.e.: State ID/Driver’s License) Class is formatted for adult learning. 16 & 17 years olds are allowed, but required to attend with a parent/guardian. Student Supplies: Eye and ear protection Note taking material Pistol (semi auto or double action revolver) with at least 3 magazines or speed loaders Holster (must be a belt holster on your dominant hand side) Magazine holder (also attached to your belt, double holder preferred) 350 rounds of ammunition for pistol Tuition: $175.00 per student / $50.00 nonrefundable deposit to register Balance of tuition due at beginning of class Sessions will begin and end on time, late arrivals may result in disallowing participation at the sole discretion of the Instructor. Equipment Recommendations for Level 2 Class: Firearm: Your firearm needs to be large enough for a proper two hand grip. The caliber should be large enough to provide some felt recoil as the concepts of ‘driving the gun’ will be a main focus of the class. We will also be working on gun presentation (draws) and speed reloads. A compact frame gun is not effective for learning these skills. Please bring at least a mid size, preferably a full size, framed firearm to the class. All drills can be performed with a semi-auto or a double action revolver. Magazines: The more magazines (or revolver speed loaders) you bring the less time you will spend reloading magazines. It will work best to have a minimum of 3 magazines per student for the class. You need to also have at least a single magazine belt holder and preferably two spare mags available from belt holder. Holster: You must use a belt holster positioned on your dominant hand side. Shoulder, cross draw, and fanny pack type holsters will not be allowed. Holster must cover the trigger guard along with securely and safely holding your firearm. Holster has to be rigid enough to allow for one hand draw and reholstering. Your gear for the class should be consistent with your shooting interests. Our Instructors use and recommends the following brands: Competition - CR Speed, Blade-Tech Tactical - Safariland Concealed Carry – Cross Breed Holsters General Range Gear / Kydex - Blade-Tech If you are purchasing gear we are available to discuss specific recommendations to include our preferred distributors.
