First off I would like to say thank you to all the soldiers that sacrificed so much so Americans can enjoy freedom!

Moving on I know this is a tad late, but I had a busy week of work since I took 5 days off for memorial day. The first 3 days were camping the second half was spent trying to figure out what national cemetery to bury my dad at. Oh and I need to find a frame for his flag. If any of y'all know a good triangular frame let me know!

Added some pics below of campin and shooting my AR build.

Hey where were you camping? Is that North Fork road out of North Bend? I think I recognize that spot, I stopped there to let my dog run around and snap a couple pics of my new truck a month or so ago.

If so, is it legal to shoot up there again? I used to go there all the time, then they closed it to target shooting several years ago.... did the open it back up?

I was told by Fish and Game that its cool to shoot up there at a certain spot. Oh yeah it is the North Fork. I have had Fish and Game and the Ranger come by and they said I was ok. As long as you are on federal land you can shoot. You can not shoot on private land up there though. It's pretty much the only spot I shoot anymore since its close and still fairly remote.

Sweet!! That is good to know, I haven't been shooting there for years and was bummed when it was closed. So glad it's a viable area again! :mfclap:

Wait a second though... isn't most of that Weyerhauser land? Or or is that just the lower (closer to North Bend) area?

Its actually owned by Hancock and all of that land is indeed illegal to shoot on. You can only shoot on Federal land with a proper back stop. The Federal land starts at about 15.5 miles up the dirt road. NF5700.

Hey pnwvolks that looks like a great place to go shooting! Where abouts on North Fork road is that?

It's all the way up on Federal land. First left once you get past the wood fire danger sign. The last bridge you cross is the bright red one. I haven't been up to this spot since January when there was about 2 feet of snow up there. Washington Fish and Game couldn't believe I was up there bahahaha.....

Just keep an eye out they were having some issues with shady people up there. Hence why I was dealing with Fish and Game..... They had 4 trucks up there and a road block when I came down.

Cheers and good luck. There is another small shooting spot about 75 yards further down the road from this spot.

I see you had a tent up there, is there a decent camping area? And since its federal land you can camp up there right?

Yeah we had I think 5 tents total set up at the spot. There is a decent fire pit there that we had to clean up and dig out a bit, but it worked great once we got it fixed up right. Yes you can camp there since it's federal land. We were there for about 4 days. Gotta get up there early cause I think that spot gets snagged quick! I showed up on a Thursday at like 9am and just posted up.

Cheers
